Dr. Jennifer Lucas is a practioner of Oncology and Hematology at California Cancer Care in Greenbrae , CA . Her primary focus is treating patients with lymphoma, serving as a navigator through the complexity of patients' needs and using the latest multi-disciplinary clinical approaches. She believes in partnering with her patients, and evaluating the whole person in determining best treatment approaches.

Dr. Lucas graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. Cum Laude in Biology. She earned her Medical Degree at Georgetown University and completed her Internship and Residency there as well. During her residency training she was honored as the Outstanding Clinic Resident and also received the Darcy Blair Memorial Award which recognizes the senior resident who best exemplifies the qualities of compassion and empathy for patients with serious illnesses. She chose Stanford University for her Fellowship in Medical Oncology. While at Stanford, she was mentored by Dr. Sandra Horning , and participated in clinical research on the treatment of lymphomas. Her research included studies on the impact of Rituximab on different types of lymphoma and the development of radioimmunotherapy (Bexxar). Dr. Saul Rosenberg played a prominent role in her training, imparting experience and wisdom in treating patients. She was a recipient of a Lymphoma Research Foundation grant while at Stanford.

Dr. Lucas has continued lymphoma clinical research at California Cancer Care where she has participated in numerous immunotherapy trials including IL-2 and vaccine treatments . Dr. Lucas continues to have an ongoing connection with Stanford, which benefits the patients in her clinical practice. She is an active investigator in national cooperative group and pharmaceutical trials, and is a principal Investigator for the California Cancer Research Network. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the Marin Medical Society, and the Association of Northern California Oncologists.

A native of Marin County , Dr. Lucas is an athlete by nature, and enjoys a range of outdoor activities with family and friends. She credits her patients with teaching her how to live life to the fullest.
