The Art of Healing

Introduction

Our Healing with Hope program provides Integrative Oncology services to help patients cope with the physical and emotional side effects that accompany cancer treatment. Our holistic approach in treating cancer brings the best Western science in concert with ancient Eastern wisdom regarding the mind-body connection. We seek to empower our patients and involve them in their healing process .

California Cancer Care's integrative oncology program has evolved into one of the most respected and innovative programs in the country. Each practice location offers a full array of healing opportunities such as:

We seek to improve each patient's quality of life by offering an opportunity to heal, not only on a physical, but also on an emotional and spiritual level. Our goal is to encourage hope, reduce fear, lessen anxiety, and enhance healing. Healing with Hope programs are not meant to replace conventional treatment, but to help support and enhance the path toward wellness by giving patients the ability to assist in their own healing process.

We know that cancer can be more than a physical disease as it touches the deepest fears of both patient and family. For this reason, we provide information to lessen the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis. We encourage you to accept help when offered and to reach out for the support you need.

In addition to participation in special Healing with Hope activities, patients and their families find comfort in other ways:

Each individual will have different needs. We know that it is helpful to discuss your fears - whether it is to a friend, family member, or spiritual advisor; in a support group of people going through a similar situation; or to yourself through a journal. Find the method that works best for you. We hope you enjoy peace of mind throughout your cancer treatment and recovery. Please know that we are here for you and your family.

We invite your participation in Healing with Hope and welcome your suggestions as we continue to expand and refine our integrative oncology program.
